Luck of Rain

I went thrifting today and I already had spent a few hours in the thrift store and found lots of things, when suddenly a huge thunderstorm emerged and forced me to stay a little longer. I guess I was lucky, because I haven't been looking at the sunglasses until then and look what I found: a pair of vintage authentic 1970's sunglasses from Balenciaga and also a pair of Chloe sunglasses, which might also be from the 1970's or maybe 1980's.

Top down: Balenciaga sunglasses, vintage 1970's noname sunglasses, vintage Polaroid sunglasses, vintage Chloe sunglasses. I think all of these probably may have belonged to the same person, because the rest of the sunglasses they had there were all crap. I might sell these on Ebay eventually and only keep one of them for myself.

New shoes and a Swimsuit

These are my latest purchases. Both shoes are from Ebay. The brown sandals were sold as true vintage 1970's sandals, but I guess they're not. They could be from Zara or something, but I like them anyways.

The swimsuit is thrifted and from the 1970's. It is actually a kids swimsuit but luckily I do fit into it. I got it for 1.50 €. I haven't worn swimsuits in ages, but I think with this one I could start again.

Threadless Summer Sale

Threadless is having a huge sale again, so you can grab a T-Shirt for only 10$. I wanted to buy this kitty shirt for some time now, unfortunately they had only 8 left this morning and I didn't have my credit card with me to order straight away. So these are sold out now in my size, I will have to try out the smaller size though and hope that it fits. I'm also looking for a white T-Shirt with a nice smaller print, so I'm going to order the one with the panda bear as well.

Saturday's Flea Market

I love these Saturdays when there is this big flea market to go to, which is only once in a month. There are smaller ones to be found once in a week, but on the big one you can find really good stuff at reasonable prices. I found some beautiful Gabor suede boots from the 1970's for only 5 €. But I did let go a silk dress from the 1950's and a 40's dress, which I sort of regret right now. I also found a couple of shoes from the 70's and 80's which don't fit me, so I will sell them on Ebay.

Todays thrift finds

Today I went thrifting and I found this funny scarf from the 60ies with little clocks on it among a few other things, like a Missoni shirt, that is too big for me. So it will either go to my mothers' closet or to Ebay. I also found a pink skirt and some pink sandals, but nothing really heartthrobing. Later on I realised, that it may have been this girl on Streetpeeper Oslo who may have inspired me to look in the scarf section in the first place:

Ebay

Since I love thrifting so much I always come across beautiful things that are unfortunately not in my size, but too beautiful to leave behind, I am thinking about opening up a little Ebay shop for quite a while now. Since I have almost zero html skills, turbolister will have to do for the time being. I already sold a few bags and shoes from the 70ies and 80ies and I will put up some more shoes and a Marc Jacobs dress (I love it so much, but it's in a size 10) during the next days. You can find them here.

The floral dress

I'm a bad blogger, I guess. I only get done two posts in a month and in April there wasn't even one. I need to improve, I think. Right now I'm in love with this dress from Primark. Where I live, we don't have Primark which is on the one hand pretty good, because you probably won't meet anybody in the same dress on the street, on the other hand you have to buy them on Ebay and pay eventually a lot more than they cost in the shops. I wonder for how much they retail, 10 £?

I think I might buy this dress in black though. I've been on the lookout for a dress like this for quite a while now, and haven't been able to find something vintage for a reasonable price. I just wish I hadn't thrown away all my 90's floral dresses.
