Thrifted Goods

I went thrifting the other day and I still keep finding summery stuff. I came across these two sundresses which I actually bought for the shop, but I don't know if they would still sell, as people are starting to look out for fall items. Same thing with the sandals. Oh, and the blue wedges... I was looking for blue wedges for quite some time now, I finally found these vintage deadstock ones. I kept walking around in them for like 15 minutes and the glue came off and the straps got ripped. This is a strange thing that only happens with vintage shoes that haven't been worn before. So, below I am wearing one of the sundresses which I really wanted to wear with the wedges, but couldn't. Have to bring these to the shoemakers' and see if they're repairable.

This weekend I went swimming for the first time this year!

At the Vineyards

Today we had time to visit the vineyards a few miles from our city. So beautiful! I wore my vintage dress I got last year from Ebay and a blouse that came with a dirndl I found on the fleamarket for only 1 Euro. I know the stupid tote bag with the green bottle kind of ruins it all, but I had to carry something to drink and honestly I didn't think so much about the suitability of bags at 7:30 in the morning when I packed it.

Monday

Today was another nice and sunny day. I worked on my Ebay template, listed something on Etsy, packed a few packages, took some pictures, did errands and had a walk in the park. Did some university research. I also got outbid on this pretty 40's dress on Ebay, which wasn't so nice, but oh well...

Summer

Summer finally came and gave us some hot sunshiny days. I am wearing a very light cotton sun dress from the fleamarket, a thrifted crochet bag and sandals from Ebay.

24 Dresses and a Bag

I bought 12 kilo of vintage the other day, which consisted precisely of 24 dresses, from the 1970's mostly. Almost all of them will be added to the shop within the next few weeks. There are some colourful mod dresses and also a very pretty 1960's mini wedding dress. I also got a few blouses and this lovely bag with flowers. But this one I will keep.

I was a bit hesitant at first to go to this shop. Now I think, I will have to go at least once a month. There is just nothing like it. They pile up tons and tons of clothes there, you just have to dig. You can find some pretty treasures there if you work yourself through the 1990's polyester dresses and other strange things. The best thing is, everything costs the same, regardless of what it is.

New on Ebay

I listed a couple of dresses these days, you can find them here. I especially like the little orange floral dress. It reminds me so much of the Luella spring 2009 collection with it's frillyness and the cute little gold buttons plus the flowery print. Unfortunately it's too small for me and after having it sit for a while in my own closet without wearing it, I finally brought myself into selling it.

Waiting for Summer in a White Dress

Still waiting for summer to come and stay, not just for one day, but maybe a few weeks, if that would not be too much to ask, maybe one week in a row (?). And I mean summer with it's hot gloomy days when we wouldn't have to wear that much and we'd go swimming all day and all night too. There won't be any stormy, rainy days, we could sit outside at night and have a beer or two. I would definitely need a white dress then and I think I looked at every white dress there is for now (at least on Ebay and Etsy that is). I want a pretty light cotton dress with eyelet lace and piping. I liked the antique Edwardian dresses best, but these are so old, they're almost too delicate to wear. But still, they are the prettiest white dresses I did come across. Oh summer, please...
