My Vintage Vogue

Myvintagevogue surely has one of the most inspiring foto streams on flickr. I could spend the whole night looking at her collections of vintage fashion photographs from the 1920's to the 1960's if I weren't so tired. She also has a website which is worth checking out. I spent quite some time on the 1930's folder so here is what inspired me most. I especially love the first picture:

Vintage Shoes with Sunflowers

I put up some new shoes on Etsy this week. Also I'm trying this new picture editing software for my blog now. I always admire people with these beautiful picture collages and backgrounds on their blogs and I never know how they do it. I know, this blog has been pretty dead lately. I'm trying to revive it though.

About Fleamarketing

I'm not good at bargaining, which I think is essential when going to a fleamarket. There are just days when I'm too shy to beat down the seller, although it is obvious that he or she would set the price a bit higher than what they would finally sell their item for. At least that is what I would do. I don't like it when sellers tell you a ridiculously high price just to sell it for half of it or less. Sometimes I'm just not in the mood for bargaining. Sometimes I am, and beating down the prices and get things for 1 Euro or something leave me feeling very satisfied and happy. I don't know, why it's not always this way. I got these boots this weekend for 3 Euro, which I think is a very good price, although I didn't bargain.

Milan

Today while browsing through the pictures from Milan Fashion Week on style.com, I liked Marni the most. I loved the mixture of colours and patterns and the knee socks. I especially liked tha blue and white dotted dress on the first picture, which makes me realize I have to look for a blue dotted vintage dress on Ebay or on the fleamarkets coming this weekend.

The Trashy Diva

There have been some complaints lately about someone copying the dress of an independent designer, fully justified complaints by the way. The good thing about it was though, that they called my attention to The Trashy Diva in the first place. Otherwise I would have never known about it. And not only is this specific dress beautiful, I found lots of other wonderful dresses made of beautiful patterned fabrics. Pictured above are my three favourites. I will definetely go back there some time soon.
