Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony

Chloe Sevigny presented her third collection for Opening Ceremony on June 8th and I didn't notice until yesterday. While browsing Style.coms resort 2011 pages, as I was feeling a bit uninspired fashionwise and looking for some fresh looks, I stumbled across it and loved it immediately. The collection is very 1990's but in a good way. It consists of five dress styles in five different prints, and  is accompanied by pretty skyhigh platform shoes and matching tights in polka dots, leopard and grey. I liked the polka dot and floral dresses the most, but I have a thing for florals and dots. The collection is also pretty easy to get inspired by and will have me look around for something similar in thrift shops or flea markets.

Spring Inspiration: Kate Spade

I know, I posted about Kate Spade's fall collection before and it seems to me I like the spring collection almost equally. I really love the splashes of colour with the pastels. And there's a lot of orange too. And of course, polka dots. I'm such a sucker for polka dots, I need to prevent myself from buying dresses with polka dots, just because I already own too many of them.

Kate Spade

I only recently found out about this lovely collection from Kate Spade via The Clothes Horses and I absolutely love it. I seriously love every single piece of this collection. It's like they knew me and designed it for me. There is the sixties, there's polka dots, bright tights and bright colours, especially yellow..., there are a-line skirts and dresses, beautiful garments, bows, big bottoms, even flat shoes... It's so perfect and sort of reminds me of Audrey Hepburn. I actually went shopping today to find some polka dotted tights, but to no avail...

These Prada Tights

I'm obsessed with these Prada tights for spring, although I never wear tights in spring or summer, because I always associate them with wintery items. But they might be a good idea for rainy days in March or April, even May. Actually I do own tights like these in red. I bought them a few years ago, I can't remember where. I just don't know, what to combine with them, to make them look more springlike. I love the way Prada combines them here with the checkered dress and the silk print dress and with these gold and red sandals. I guess I will be looking for dresses like that for my spring wardrobe.

The Perfect Sweater

I have been on the hunt for the perfect norwegian sweater quite for a while now, so I was pretty delighted when I found out about these beautiful sweaters by the german label evaw-wave, while I was reading a local magazine. It seems that this is their first winter collection which is called Oslo-Go-Slow and before they have been doing mainly bathing and swimwear. Actually, I do like the winter collection much better, maybe because I only go swimming like once in a year or maybe because I always had a thing for deers. I think I'm gonna get the orange sweater, I really like that it is so long, so it can be also worn as a dress.

Crochet Dress

I got this crochet dress on Ebay a while ago and today it arrived in the mail. It's amazing, because it seems to be all handmade it must have been a lot of work to make it. And I got it for only 10€. It also comes with a little jacket. The strangest thing is, the seller sold it as a dress from the 70ies, but it appears to be much older, like from the 20ies, because it is so fragile, but I don't know exactly, it has an insewn slip underneath which seems to be a polyblend. I don't know since when this material was made. The 50ies I think. Anyhow this is a very beautiful dress for spring.
