I never wore glasses except for sunglasses. Ever since I noted my shortsightedness I opted for contact lenses instead. I don't know why. Maybe I didn't want that much of a change happen to my face, even though I was wearing some really weird sunglasses from time to time. There was something about glasses I didn't like. Also glasses are very hard to pick, especially when you're looking for something you might have to wear every day. Only for a short time I am looking for some glasses to wear instead of my contact lenses from time to time. I would really like some 1950's cat eye glasses with a black frame and some rhinestones like the ones Marylin Monroe is wearing in the picture above. I found some vintage ones in an Etsy shop called Thirdgranny, like these ones below with stars or rhinestones. There's also an online-shop specialising in selling vintage eyewear called Retrospecs.co.uk. They have a large collection of glasses and sunglasses from the 1950's until now. You can even get your proper prescription glasses there.

Shop Update
I am still doing the Ebay thing, while I should concentrate on Etsy. It's so much cheaper. But I'm still used to Ebay, so it's quite easy for me to list a few things there, while I think in Etsy it's better to have more things in stock and it still takes more time for me to list things. So again, I did an Ebay update. Feel free to check it out here.

Fleamarket
Today I woke up to disgusting rainy weather. It was cold also and it definitely didn't seem like June. I was extra unhappy as I wanted to go to the fleamarket today to find new things to sell in the shop. I'm glad I went anyway as I found some things from the few sellers that were actually there. My favorite is the 1970's floral dress and the white skirt with lace trim from Mango. I also found a Marimekko bag for just 1 € and some scarfs for my friend's birthday.

My Vintage Vogue
Myvintagevogue surely has one of the most inspiring foto streams on flickr. I could spend the whole night looking at her collections of vintage fashion photographs from the 1920's to the 1960's if I weren't so tired. She also has a website which is worth checking out. I spent quite some time on the 1930's folder so here is what inspired me most. I especially love the first picture:
