I never wore glasses except for sunglasses. Ever since I noted my shortsightedness I opted for contact lenses instead. I don't know why. Maybe I didn't want that much of a change happen to my face, even though I was wearing some really weird sunglasses from time to time. There was something about glasses I didn't like. Also glasses are very hard to pick, especially when you're looking for something you might have to wear every day. Only for a short time I am looking for some glasses to wear instead of my contact lenses from time to time. I would really like some 1950's cat eye glasses with a black frame and some rhinestones like the ones Marylin Monroe is wearing in the picture above. I found some vintage ones in an Etsy shop called
Thirdgranny, like these ones below with stars or rhinestones. There's also an online-shop specialising in selling vintage eyewear called
Retrospecs.co.uk. They have a large collection of glasses and sunglasses from the 1950's until now. You can even get your proper prescription glasses there.
